1.History Of Jaipur:

Well, Jaipur is the Capital of Rajasthan State In India. It was founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II (Ruled 1699-1744).
After lots of battles with the Maratha Empire, Jai Singh was conscious of the security aspect of the city. Due to the same reason, he tried to make his best by which he can create an excellent. As he was passionate about mathematics and science, Jai Singh asked advice from Vidyadhar Bhattacharya (a Brahmin scholar of Bengal), to help and create the design the city architecture. Vidyadhar investigated and told about ancient Indian literature on astronomy, books of Ptolemy and Euclid, and shared the plan with the King.
With a perfect and step by step planning, the construction of the city started in 1727. It took approximate 4 years to complete the major palaces, parks, roads and square. The city was built on the main principles of Vastu Shastra. The city was divided into nine blocks, out of which two referred to the state buildings and palaces, and the remaining seven blocks were allotted to the public. For security purposes, seven strong gates were also built in city entrance.

As per that time the architecture and whole city was very advanced and most probably one of the best in the world at the time.
In 1876 when Prince of Wales visited Jaipur, the complete city was painted in pink colour. For the same reason, Jaipur is still called PINK CITY.
Jaipur and Rajasthan both have rich History.
Time by time the city increases and grew rapidly. In the 19th century (1900) it had a huge population of nearly 160,000. In 1868 a school of art was built in Jaipur. After that many colleges and hospitals were made in this beautiful city. After 1947 It's the part of Free India. Since then it's increasing the charm of Rich Indian History.
